Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. The majority of her childhood listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to play the piano and sing at an early age with her mother. She was given more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The love she has for performing, music, and the arts keep active in community projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
